About PDS Therapy, LCSW
I am passionate about helping people achieve stability and happiness in their lives.
I have always been interested in the way people think, behave, and process their thoughts and emotions. After spending 25+ years working in a diverse community engaging with a multitude of cultures and races, and working at troubleshooting and solving difficult situations, I decided to embark on a journey to study and practice in the specialized field of social work therapy. Since starting my journey, I received a bachelor’s degree in Social Science with a concentration in Community Mental Health, and a master’s degree in Social Work.
I have worked with individuals, families, and couples both in and out of crises.
Now, as a Clinically Licensed Social Work Therapist, I focus on a narrower aspect of people’s lives to help them achieve a better balance and more clear understanding of themselves.
I focus on determining or locating the root of the issues. I believe that a direct and honest approach is generally the best method for establishing and continuing to build a solid relationship based on trust between the client and clinician. I am a compassionate and empathetic person whose goals include assisting my clients with working through their current struggles, whether they be new or deep-rooted, so the client can begin to cope and understand why they feel the way they do. With a collaborative approach, we will work toward positive and mature growth so the client can eliminate unnecessary stress and improve their overall quality of life.
When you're ready.
I'm with you for every step of the journey.
The reason I chose a career in therapy is to help people cope with many of life’s challenges in an attempt to make a difference in one’s quality of life. I feel there is great benefit to engaging in conversation, troubleshooting, managing thoughts and feelings, and developing better coping skills while at the same time processing difficult situations with a genuine and kind, honest approach.
There are many terrific therapists out there, but finding the right fit for each individual, couple, or family, is the most challenging task of them all. I pride myself on taking a direct approach to helping them grow and learn the skills needed to improve their quality of life by addressing their underlying problems.
